How we can best support your child:
Occupational Therapy
In-Clinic Dynamic Assessment and Individualized Treatment Plan
When daily tasks like writing, getting dressed, processing sensory input, or regulating emotions become daily struggles, targeted pediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) can make all the difference. Our clinic provides a safe, engaging, and sensory-rich environment where children play with purpose and build the functional skills they need to thrive at home, at school, and in play.
What We Support in the Clinic
Our in-person evaluation and treatment sessions are tailored to your child’s unique strengths and developmental goals.
Sensory Processing & Self-Regulation
Sensory Integration: Helping children process and organize environmental input (textures, sounds, movement, touch) to support a well-regulated nervous system, allowing them to stay calm, focused, and fully engaged in daily routines.
Emotional & Behavioral Regulation: Teaching children how to identify their internal state and use effective coping strategies to stay calm, cool, and focused.
Fine Motor & Handwriting Skills
Hand & Finger Strength: Building the foundational control needed for grasping pencils, using scissors, buttoning shirts, and manipulating small objects.
Visual-Motor Integration: Coordinating visual input with hand movements for legibility, spatial awareness, and efficient task completion.
Gross Motor & Bilateral Coordination
Core & Postural Control: Strengthening the body’s core to support upright posture during tabletop activities, schoolwork, and active play.
Body Awareness & Balance: Improving coordination, planning multi-step movements (motor planning), and navigating physical environments safely.
Daily Living Skills (ADLs) & Executive Functioning
Self-Care Independence: Mastering age-appropriate tasks like dressing, feeding, grooming, and shoe-tying.
Executive Functioning: Enhancing focus, organization, sequence planning, and task transitions.
What to Expect During In-Clinic Therapy
Comprehensive Evaluation: We start with a 1-hour evaluation that combines a parent interview, play-based observation, and standardized assessments. Together, these give us a clear picture of your child's motor, sensory, and everyday skills, so we know exactly where to begin.
Play-Based, Evidence-Backed Sessions: Children learn best through play! Each session is tailored to your child's goals, using specialized equipment like sensory swings, climbing structures, and fine motor tools to build skills through activities they enjoy.
Family-Centered Approach: Every session ends with simple, practical activities to try at home, so you can keep the progress going between visits.
