No. We are a cash-pay private practice.
We are a private-pay (out-of-network) practice and do not bill insurance directly. Payment is due at the time of service via credit card, cash, check, or HSA/FSA (Health Savings Account / Flexible Spending Account) cards.
While we do not take insurance directly, many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits. We provide itemized monthly Superbills (medical receipts with standard ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT treatment codes) that you can submit directly to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
As a cash-pay (out-of-network) practice, we do not allow insurance companies to dictate the duration, frequency, or quality of your child’s care. This model allows us to provide 100% individualized, high-touch clinical care focused entirely on your child’s unique functional goals.
-
No! Because we operate as a private-pay practice, you do not need a pediatrician’s referral or prescription to schedule an evaluation or begin therapy. However, if you plan to submit Superbills to your insurance provider for reimbursement, some insurance plans do require a physician’s prescription on file. We recommend checking with your specific carrier.

What does an OT evaluation look like?
Our 1-hour evaluations are play-based, so to your child, it mostly feels like fun! Before the visit, you'll fill out a short intake form about your child's history, strengths, and what you'd like help with.
During the evaluation, we'll:
Talk with you about your concerns, daily routines, and goals for your child.
Watch your child play and move to see how they use their hands, body, and senses in everyday tasks.
Use standardized assessments when helpful, to measure skills like fine motor, visual motor, and sensory processing.
You're welcome to stay in the room the whole time. Afterward, you'll get a written report with our findings, recommended goals, and a treatment plan for therapy, so you know exactly what's next.
Comfy clothes are best, and feel free to bring a favorite snack or comfort item!

If your child struggles with sensory sensitivities, motor coordination, emotional meltdowns, or daily tasks across multiple environments, an In-Clinic OT Evaluation is the best starting point. If you primarily need guidance with school documentation (IEP/504), tailored home strategies, or quick expert advice without bringing your child into the clinic, a Virtual Parent Consultation is ideal.
-
Yes! Parent involvement is a core pillar of our practice. While some children perform best one-on-one with the therapist and some require parent to be present, either way we always reserve the last 5 minutes of clinic sessions to review progress, demonstrate exercises, and provide you with actionable strategies to practice at home.

School-based OT focuses strictly on skills required to access the educational environment. Private pediatric OT takes a holistic approach to the whole child- addressing sensory processing, emotional regulation, community involvement, home routines, and overall developmental quality of life.
